Southern California Latinx in Philanthropy (SCLP) is a network made up of volunteer grantmaking professionals who are working to leverage networks and resources in order to mitigate the impact of historical and systemic inequities in the Latinx community. We convene funders in the greater Los Angeles area to connect, learn, and take action with other funders to create collaborative impact across Southern California. We work in partnership with other affinity groups to build racial solidarity while also advancing opportunities for change. SCLP leads with philanthropic practices to create an engaged philanthropic ecosystem that supports healthy and thriving Latinx communities.
SCLP offers a place for philanthropic professionals to:
- Network and build relationships with knowledgeable, collegial peers through learning and social events and convenings.
- Deepen knowledge and learn about issues and innovations through curated conversations with sector leaders and other experts to help optimize grantmaking.
- Connect and align with funders on Latinx community-related issues of shared interest.
