In 1932 is familiebedrijf ‘Soetens’ opgericht door Willem Soetens en zijn vrouw Marie Soetens-Verhoeven. Toendertijd hoofdzakelijk werkzaam in het transport van melkproducten. Vervolgens kwamen er 3 zonen Bal, Noud en Jo aan het roer als tweede generatie van Soetens. Het transport had toen voornamelijk de nadruk op agrarische producten, kolen en later ook biertransport voor Trappistenklooster Berkel-Enschot en Stella Artois. In 1981 werd Soetens overgenomen door Rein de Jong.
In 1983 is Jo Soetens verdergegaan met Soetens int Transport gespecialiseerd in internationale transport. In 1989 is de derde generatie Wichard Soetens in het bedrijf gekomen. Vader en zoon hebben de werkzaamheden gedeeld en transporteerden door heel Europa.
Momenteel runnen Wichard Soetens en zijn vrouw Jessica Soetens het bedrijf, ze zijn gestopt met internationale transporten over lange afstanden en hebben de focus momenteel op warehousing en logistics in de Benelux. De Vierde generatie Joe Soetens en Kim Soetens maken zich klaar om het bedrijf over te nemen. De expertise van Soetens wordt van generatie op generatie doorgegeven.
