SolHimal est une association humanitaire d’Alsace-Moselle (1908) créée en avril 1988, ayant pour but d’apporter une aide aux populations himalayennes, vivant en Inde et au Népal.
Nos objectifs : éduquer, loger, nourrir, soigner.
Ils sont simples, mais correspondent aux besoins essentiels de nos filleuls, qu’il s’agisse de familles entières, de religieux, de personnes âgées ou d’enfants.
SolHimal travaille dans le respect des traditions et croyances des différents peuples de l’Himalaya.
L’action de SolHimal se décline sur plusieurs axes :
– Parrainage d’enfants, d’étudiants, de personnes âgées, de familles, de moines et de nonnes.
– Montage et financement de projets dans divers domaines (santé, éducation, formation professionnelle, agriculture, approvisionnement en eau…)
– Accompagnement de voyages, chantiers et missions à caractère humanitaire en Inde et au Népal.
– Réalisation d’expositions-ventes d’artisanat himalayen qui permettent aux artisans de toucher une juste rémunération.
SolHimal a été reconnue en 2005 par le Kashag (Bureau Central de l’Administration du Gouvernement tibétain en exil à Dharamsala) comme partenaire officiel œuvrant à la protection de la culture tibétaine.
