Soncharon is a dynamic non-profit, voluntary social organization founded in 2012 in Cumilla, Bangladesh. Our mission is to promote health and well-being, develop an efficient blood donation system, combat poverty, and raise awareness about critical social issues through community and youth engagement.
Since its inception, Soncharon has:
Donated thousands of units of blood to patients in need.
Organized hundreds of blood donation and health awareness campaigns across the Cumilla district.
Delivered emergency food, medicine, and healthcare services during disasters like COVID-19 and major floods in Sylhet and Cumilla.
We have also launched impactful projects:
Alor Soncharon (2015–2017): Aimed at providing pre-primary and primary education to dropout children, helping them re-enroll in schools.
Green Aid Medical Services (2014–2021): A clinic offering affordable or free health consultations, diagnostics, and counseling to underserved communities.
Soncharon is proud to collaborate with numerous organizations, including Rotaract Clubs, Badhan, and Rover Scout, fostering partnerships to amplify social impact. In January 2018, Soncharon played a pivotal role in the launch of the Facebook Blood Donation Feature in Bangladesh, becoming the first organization to register blood donors at the event.
With over 800 youth volunteers contributing to its initiatives, Soncharon continues to empower its 200+ members, providing training in communication, social media management, leadership, and project management to nurture future changemakers.
We believe in the power of community-driven change and remain committed to creating a healthier, more equitable society.
