Southeast Conservation Corps (SECC) operates conservation service programs throughout the Southeast that focus on meeting the needs of the natural landscapes while empowering people to cultivate compassion, responsibility, and grit through community service, hard work, and environmental stewardship. We have a variety of programs, providing young adults, youth and veterans with structured, safe and challenging service and educational opportunities. SECC's programs include: Veteran Fire Corps, Adult Conservation Corps, Disaster Relief Crews, Youth Conservation Crews, Women's Conservation Crews, American Sign Language Inclusion Crews, AmeriCorps VISTA Members, Individual Placements/Internships, and Trips For Kids®. SECC operates programs year-round with peak season being March-November. Since each program is purposeful in design, positions may vary in length, location, focus, and populations served. Our internship program is the only one that has start dates year-round. Our youth and adult programs run seasonally starting in the spring, summer, and fall. All SECC programs are implemented through a diverse range of partnerships including public land agencies, non-profits, land trusts, schools, and municipalities. Exciting, challenging, rewarding – there is no one word to describe participating in Southeast Conservation Corps. You’ll learn, but it will take sweat. You’ll complete great service projects, but it won’t always be easy. You’ll meet some great people, but you won’t always see eye-to-eye. It’s about learning, working hard for the environment and communities, and giving something back. We hope you join us and make memorable experiences along the way!
