Spacergy's Passive Radiative Cooling solution provides a booster stage to the conventional cooling system. With active and passive cooling panels in combination with Spacergy's Control System, our solution can reduce energy consumption with up to 40% compared to a conventional cooling system without this solution.
Spacergy's system also helps conventional systems withstand higher ambient temperatures. With the Spacergy system, you ensure that the cooling system can handle higher outdoor temperatures than it is currently designed for.
For new installations, the cooling system can be designed for lower ambient temperatures as our system assists with condensation on the hottest days.
Spacerys passive radiative cooling solutions are based on the principle of radiative cooling, a natural phenomenon where objects emit heat in the form of thermal radiation. Spacergy have developed passive and active solutions based on specialized materials and construction that enhances this effect, allowing us reaching temperatures lower than ambient temperature for effective cooling with less energy consumption, even under direct sunlight.
Our active and passive panel solution is engineered to possess several key properties simultaneously
1. High reflectivity and emissivity leading to almost no heat absorption and allows efficient heat dissipation
2. Panels constructed for maximum energy transfer
3. System constructed for safe, quick and reliable installation
By combining high solar reflectivity with high emissivity the panels achieves a net cooling effect. It absorbs very little heat from the sun and the surrounding atmosphere while efficiently radiating its own heat away. This results in the material cooling down to a temperature lower than the ambient air temperature, even under hot and sunny conditions.
Spacergy offers both active cooling panels connected to cooling system and passive cooling panels to lower heat absorption in buildings.
