SPOT is a student-led texting platform designed as an overdose detection tool for the UBC community. Our mission is to reduce the harms of drug use by providing a mutual-aid system for drug spotting. SPOT connects students who use substances with trained volunteers and essential emergency services in the event of an overdose. By fostering a safer and more supportive campus environment, we aim to empower students to look out for one another through compassion, discretion, and harm reduction.
