La Société suisse de droit international (SSDI) a été créée en 1914 en vue d’encourager la Suisse à participer activement au développement du droit international. Elle compte aujourd’hui plus de 350 membres regroupant des praticiens, des théoriciens du droit international public ou privé, du droit européen ainsi que du droit international pénal, fiscal, économique ou administratif.
La SSDI est le lieu de rencontre privilégié de tous les juristes qui s’intéressent en Suisse au droit international et européen. À une époque où la spécialisation est devenue la règle, les associations regroupant des personnes spécialisées, issus de domaines d’activité les plus divers constituent une nécessité. Prenant en compte ces développements, la Société suisse de droit international offre un lieu d’échange d’idées et de formation. Elle vise également à promouvoir la transposition qualitative du droit international et à informer le grand public de l’importance et de la signification de ce droit.
