STB Design Studio is an architectural design studio founded on four basic principles: Architecture, Sustainability, Practicality, and Integrity. These four principles aided Lead Designer and Owner Steven T Banninger when he founded the Studio in Boston’s historic neighborhood of Fenway in 2018. “Designers should have Architectural ambitions, but all design should and must be grounded in reality.” -STB Steven formed his philosophy and gained his skills from the well-rounded furnace that was Roger Williams University’s School of Architecture, Art, and Historic Preservation. At this institution, at which he earned a bachelor’s degree of Science in Architecture, Steven studied the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and Steven Holl while also learning about vapor barriers and steel frame construction. While being adequately qualified to use AutoCAD, he became exceedingly qualified with the use of Revit; a 3D Building Information Model (BIM) program. Heavily influencing his work, is the fusion and contradiction of classical and modern architecture that he observed in Italy and across Europe when he spent a semester abroad in the beautiful city of Florence. Although born in Queens NYC, raised in Monroe Township New Jersey, and schooled in Bristol, Rhode Island; Steven has come to love and respect his new home city of Boston and has come to view Boston as a model for modern American cities, and an embodiment of his design philosophy. STB Design Studio offers three primary services: Conceptual Design, Drawing Revisions, Artistic and Computer Rendering. We also offer a wide variety of other services ranging from presentation support to graphic design. We work with you with to bring to life the ideas in your head while avoiding any fears you may have about a project. We believe in a designer’s integrity and do not like to give half of an effort in our projects nor do we like to leave a project half finished.
