Der gemeinnützige Verein Schüler Treffen Flüchtlinge e.V. wurde als Schülerinitiative im Jahr 2015 gegründet und wird von Jugendlichen komplett ehrenamtlich geleitet. Das Ziel des Vereins ist die Förderung von kulturellem Verständnis zwischen Geflüchteten und Schülern, indem Begegnungsmöglichkeiten, wie gemeinsames Kochen oder Touren durch Berlin, geschaffen werden. Mit der Einbindung von Schülern und Geflüchteten in die Organisationsstruktur wird außerdem das ehrenamtliche Engagement junger Menschen gestärkt. Mit dem Projekt „Aktion Zukunft“ konnte die Vision deutschlandweit verbreitet werden. Durch dieses Multiplikatorenseminar starten Jugendliche seit Anfang 2017 überall in Deutschland eigene Projekte. Mit der Arbeit von STF e.V. entstehen daher nicht nur Freundschaften zwischen Jugendlichen mit und ohne Fluchterfahrung, wodurch Vorurteile abgebaut werden, sondern junge Menschen können sich mit der Unterstützung des Vereins selbst zu gesellschaftlichen Akteuren entwickeln.
