STORL ruimt lege of aangebroken verpakkingen op van gewasbeschermingsmiddelen, meststoffen en biociden.
De stichting is een initiatief van de Nederlandse gewasbeschermingsmiddelen-industrie, toeleveringsbedrijven, loonwerkers en telers. STORL organiseert de inzameling van afvalstoffen en verpakkingen bij professionele gebruikers.
STORL levert sinds 1988 een bijdrage aan het opruimen van resten gewasbeschermingsmiddelen. In januari 2023 is een Uitgebreide Producentenverantwoordelijkheid (UPV) ingegaan. Voortaan zijn producenten en importeurs (mede)verantwoordelijk voor het afvalbeheer van de producten die ze op de markt brengen.
De oorspronkelijk stichting heeft hierom haar bestaan en werkwijze herzien. De agrarische brancheorganisaties CropLife, Agrodis, LTO en Cumela vormen voortaan samen het bestuur van STORL.
STORL ontwikkelt een nieuw inzamelsysteem en zal dit in de loop van het jaar 2023 via een landelijk dekkend netwerk uitrollen.
