Straight A Education was founded by two experienced Education Recruitment Specialists (over 25 years combined experience) who had personally worked for and encountered some of the major pitfalls of many of the larger education staffing providers. Glaring problems experienced were: Disjointed recruitment Process When we embarked on our recruitment careers over 12 years ago the Recruitment Consultant role was exactly that. Each consultant had full ownership of the whole recruitment process – it worked exceptionally well. For example they would be the first point of contact when introducing Schools to the agency, effectively selling schools their services and understanding the schools specific needs personally. The consultant would then recruit their own teachers tailored to their knowledge of the School/ client and fill the schools jobs/bookings with suitably matched teachers. Now, in most of the larger agencies this process is a thing of the past, the 3 stages of recruitment (Client Contact/ Teacher Recruitment/ Booking filling – supply and permanent) have been split between 3 individuals/departments, the reason for this change is pure profit, this process releases the recruitment consultant to spend all their time winning new business by bringing on more Schools as clients. This is often never disclosed to any School and gives a very disjointed recruitment process resulting in poor candidate selection and a bad quality of overall service.
