Studio De Gruyter is de naam voor een historisch en markant gebouw centraal in Tilburg, aan de Gasthuisring. Sinds 1 december 2019 is het open als kantoor voor kleine ondernemingen en zzp'ers. Er staan zo'n tien bureaus, verspreid over twee open kantoorruimten op de begane grond en de verdieping.
Rijksmonument
Het pand is in 1933 gebouwd als kruidenierszaak voor winkelketen P. de Gruyter & Zn. Beneden was de winkel, boven het magazijn. Het familiebedrijf stond in die tijd voor hoge kwaliteit en dat toonde ze in de luxe vormgeving van haar panden. Het gebouw aan de Gasthuisring (destijds Gasthuisstraat) is gebouwd in een expressionistische stijl en heeft, als enige van de circa tien filialen in Tilburg, nog de oorspronkelijke uitstraling. Mede daarom is het een Rijksmonument.
Van het gas af
In 1965 is het filiaal gesloten. Daarna is het pand als muziekschool en als kantoor in gebruik geweest. De huidige eigenaren hebben het gebouw zo veel mogelijk teruggebracht in oorspronkelijke staat en hebben het klaar gemaakt voor een nieuwe toekomst, als kantoorgebouw met vaste werkplekken voor kleine ondernemingen. Het pand is 'van het gas af' en wekt haar eigen stroom en warmte op.
Samen werken
De nieuwe eigenaren zijn ook de gebruikers van het pand. Er zijn nog enkele plekken beschikbaar voor ondernemingen die zich willen vestigen in dit onderscheidende kantoorpand.
