Studio Figur, opgericht door artistiek leiders Noufri Bachdim en Pluck Venema, maakt poëtisch en zintuigijk figurentheater. Met fysiek spel, poppen-/objecttheater, live film en muziek worden nieuwe verhalen verteld waarin actuele kwesties centraal staan. In hun voorstellingen, films en installaties worden zowel kinderen als volwassenen meegenomen naar een andere werkelijkheid, waarbij op speelse en bezielende wijze de verbeeldingskracht van jong en oud in werking wordt gezet.
Het werk van Studio Figur is sinds de oprichting in 2018 niet onopgemerkt gebleven. Zo werd de voorstelling SSST! (2+) door verschillende theaters geselecteerd als hoogtepunt van het seizoen 19/20 en zorgde HELD (6+) ervoor dat het gezelschap werd genomineerd voor de Ruth Van der Steenhovenprijs 2019, een prijs voor (jonge) getalenteerde spelers/theatergezelschappen.
