The Sub Surface Group are an independent group of companies established in 1972, providing a comprehensive range of site investigation services and geotechnical and environmental consultancy services across Great Britain.
Our network of local offices allows our highly qualified, experienced staff to provide a professional, high quality, reliable service at a cost effective price, catering for all project types and sizes from small private residential extension projects to large corporate infrastructure projects.

Desktop Study Reports
Site Investigations - cable percussive boreholes, window sampling boreholes, rotary open hole drilling, rotary core drilling, trial pitting, etc.
In-Situ Testing and Monitoring - CBR tests, plate bearing tests, percolation tests and soakaways, gas and groundwater monitoring, PID surveys, etc.
Laboratory Testing - soil and rock testing, contamination testing, WAC testing, etc
Geotechnical Consultancy - foundation designs, coal mining risk assessments, ground stability assessment due to mining and cavities, slope stability analysis, retaining walls and basements, earthworks, etc.
Environmental Consultancy - contaminated land surveys and risk assessments, waste classifications, water pipeline risk assessments, material management plans, ground gas, groundwater, radon and flood risk assessments, remediation strategies, validation reports, etc.
