SUFO er en landsforening, som består af forskellige faggrupper, der i det daglige arbejder med SUndhedsfremmende og FOrebyggende hjemmebesøg til ældre.
Ifølge Servicelovens § 79a skal kommunalbestyrelsen tilbyde et forebyggende hjemmebesøg til alle borgere i det år, de fylder 75 år og igen i det år, de fylder 80 år. Derforuden skal borgere i alderen 65 år til 81 år, som er i særlig risiko for at få nedsat social, psykisk eller fysisk funktionsevne, tilbydes besøg efter behov.
