I dag forbinder supercykelstinettet 21 kommuner via 16 etablerede supercykelstier, men nettet udvides hvert år. Visionen for samarbejdet er at skabe et net, der binder kommuner og regionen sammen med over 60 supercykelstier – svarende til mere end 850 kilometer supercykelsti.
En supercykelsti er en cykelsti, hvor kvaliteten har fået et løft, så det er nemt og sikkert at vælge cyklen som transportmiddel, uanset hvilken kommune pendleren cykler igennem. Supercykelstierne er planlagt så de forbinder arbejdspladser, uddannelsesinstitutioner og boligområder i et sammenhængende net, der forbinder kommuner og er lette for pendlere at orientere sig på.

A cycle superhighway is a cycle highway, where the commuters’ needs have been given the highest priority. The project seeks to create routes that offer direct routes as well as comfortable and safe service.
