Onderzoek toont aan dat de prikkels van de zee en de natuurlijke omgeving in combinatie met de balans op een surfboard zorgen voor rust, plezier en concentratie. Persoonlijke doelen kunnen gericht zijn op het vergroten van contactuele vaardigheden, verbeteren van lichaamsbewustzijn en het ervaren van ontspanning. Dit alles draagt bij aan een groter vertrouwen in jezelf.
