Since 2008, I've been playing with graphic design, content curation and creation, website design, SEO and social media and figuring out how to make a living at all of it. These days, I use my rather full quiver of skills to help companies big and small with things like marketing plans, branding identities, graphic design, website cleanup and social media campaigns. Do I miss the days when all I did was write? Maybe. There's a lot to be said for being involved in all the pieces of the communication puzzle. A few specifics? - Marketing - Target identification to customer service and everything in between. Develop strategic and tactical plans to help companies reach prospects and communicate with customers. - Graphic design - I can't draw, but I sure can make pretty things that communicate your message. Experience with a wide range of print and digital pieces. - Strategic planning - And just why do you have a Twitter account? - Writing - Words, words, words. Killer at making them work for you. - Wordpress - Awesome at more than just the basics. - Website redesign - On my own with simple sites or working with outside developers. Can manage sites built on just about any platform. - Content creation - Drawing on my background as a newspaper writer. - Research - What did we do before Google?
