1931: De Naardense Voetbal Vereniging wordt opgericht.
1932: Oprichting van RKSV De Meervogels’32.
1935: Oprichting van Chefana.
1946: NVC wordt omgedoopt tot Naarden.
1966: Oprichting van Ministerpark.
1967: Naarden en De Meervogels fuseren tot De Vesting.
1979: Chefana en Ministerpark gaan samen in FC Naarden’79.
20 juni 1989: De Vesting en FC Naarden’79 fuseren tot NVC. De cirkel is rond, Naarden heeft weer één voetbalvereniging
Vandaag de dag is NVC een club waar je lekker kunt voetballen op je eigen niveau. Een vereniging waar je beter kunt worden, omdat alle teams minimaal twee maal per week trainen met gediplomeerde trainers. Waar het gezellig is. Een vereniging voor de leden en door de leden.
NVC is de enige voetbalvereniging in Naarden en heeft zo'n 700 leden, verdeeld over pupillen, junioren, senioren, dames en trimvoetballers (dames en heren). NVC beschikt ook al sinds 2006 over een zeer succesvolle en gezellige G-voetbal afdeling voor jeugd- en seniorenvoetbal op verschillende niveaus. NVC vervult niet alleen een recreatieve, maar ook een belangrijke sociale functie in Naarden. Naar schatting is zo’n 25% van de bevolking van Naarden direct of indirect betrokken bij NVC.
