Founded in 2019, SYNKROTRON offers products and solutions for the data-driven development of autonomous driving and intelligent traffic technologies. The company was incubated by Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Core Technology, led by Turing Award-winning academician Andrew Chi-Chih Yao.
Following the mission of "Deliver customer success with technological innovation", the company developed SYNKROTRON® OASIS product suite by taking advantages of several technologies such as software verfication and validation (V&V), physics simulation, digital twin, deep learning and big data etc. OASIS is equipped with high-precision sensor models, vehicle dynamics models, multi-agent interaction models, SOTIF-based scenario generation and reconstruction capabilities. The goal of OASIS is to accelerate the large-scale training, development and V&V of Autonomous Driving Systems (ADS). By carrying out such R&D activities on a simulation-centric platform, customers can identify ADS defects in advance, reduce the cost of real-world testing and eliminate the safety hazards inherited in the current process.
Driven by a strong R&D team, SYNKROTRON has important presence in the global open source community. SYNKROTRON is a consortium member of CARLA, an internationally renowned open source project for autonomous driving simulation, and assists in the operation of the CARLA community in China and around the world . SYNKROTRON leads the Autonomous Driving Working Group under IEEE SA, pioneering international standard on scenario representations and autonomous driving system architecture. SYNKROTRON also participated in tens of national and industrial-level standards, and has authored 38 patents and 25 software copyrights. In addition, SYNKROTRON is the vice-chair org of the Automatic Driving Research Group of the Artificial Intelligence Sub-committee of the National Information Technology Standard Committee of China, a member of China Sociefy of Automotive Engineer
