Die Systemische Gesellschaft (SG) ist ein bundesweit agierender Fachverband mit über 6.000 Einzelmitgliedern - 50 Mitgliederinstituten. Sie fördert systemisches Denken und Handeln in vielen Bereichen: Therapie und Beratung, Supervision, Coaching, Organisationsberatung und -entwicklung, Mediation, Politikberatung, Psychiatrie, Pädagogik, Jugendhilfe, Suchthilfe, Seelsorge und Pflege. Die SG vertritt den systemischen Ansatz in Feldern, in denen Prozesse der Kommunikation und Problemlösung entwickelt werden. Die wissenschaftliche Fundierung des systemischen Ansatzes soll in der Fachöffentlichkeit bewahrt bzw. angestrebt werden. Deshalb beteiligt sich die SG an Forschungsprojekten und führt Tagungen und Kongresse durch. Sie organisiert wissenschaftliche Publikationen und ist in fach- und berufspolitischen Gremien aktiv. Alle zwei Jahre wird ein wissenschaftlicher Förderpreis für praxisrelevante systemische Forschungen junger Wissenschaftler/-innen verliehen. Die SG pflegt zahlreiche Kooperationen mit nationalen und internationalen systemischen Instituten sowie Institutionen und Verbänden aus Praxis und Wissenschaft.
