Our Vision is for a world free from hunger and pollution.
Take Root Bio is an urban regeneration organisation, working with communities to redevelop derelict buildings, sites and locations are brought back to life to create TRB Connected Farms, using the TRB AgriFood EcoSystem – a net zero, sustainable approach to food production. We use 'appropriate' existing technologies (all commercially viable and available) site them with a data centre, enabling heat transfer to growing zones to support the agrifood ecosystem.
At TRB, we say we grow food, jobs and communities in the industrial heritage of the past. For us, this is more than just about transforming old buildings; it is about creating sustainable livelihoods and changing the fundamental local economics one location at a time.
At TRB, our research has included understanding what is required for living in a modern society, food, data, energy, local jobs and skills and community. With our team of architectural designers, economists, finance and project managers and technologists, we find solutions to make communities successful based on the 15 minute city principles. We are part of the Net Zero Cities Partnerships and Innovate UK Business Growth and the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre at Teesside University, where we are working on our pilot TRB Connected Farming Container, for urban, humanitarian and harsh environment growing.
