In 2013, our company started in Calgary, Alberta with Tim Tam, the owner of the company. He retired early and decided he needed to keep himself busy. Having just come from a large-volume builder for over 20 years, he decided to start the company by buying and flipping homes all under the radar. Today, he has consulted, built, and completed almost 30 single-family and 7 multi-family projects, totalling nearly 70 housing units. In 2019, his son, Ted with nearly a decade of experience and leaving a large-volume builder himself, decided he could pursue this and grow the company. Hence the name, Tamson.
