Sotra staat voor Stichting Opleiding Topatletiek Regio Apeldoorn. De Stichting is opgericht in 2012 als doorstart van de Atletiekschool van ROC Aventus in Apeldoorn, waar vanaf 2003 getalenteerde atleten terecht konden voor de ontwikkeling van hun sportieve ambities.

Atleten sluiten zich vanuit diverse regio’s en verenigingen bij Sotra aan om optimaal gebruik te kunnen maken van de professionele begeleiding op trainings-/technisch en persoonlijk vlak inclusief (para)medische begeleiding.
