Stel je voor. In 2030 stoot Rotterdam 50% minder broeikassen uit. In 2050 is de stad klimaatneutraal. Dat is een hoge ambitie. Hoe mooi zou het zijn als we die plannen combineren met de toekomst van onze jongeren? Meisjes en jongens die met hun hoofd, hart en handen zorgen dat we realiseren wat we beloven. Samen met scholen, bedrijven, instanties en de gemeenten.
Daarom starten we TechTown. We willen meer leerlingen interesseren voor opleidingen en banen in de techniek en technologie. Met klimaat, duurzaamheid en circulaire economie als hoofdthema’s.
Op 20 oktober a.s. om 16h presenteren we de eerste stappen die we willen zetten en leggen we onze vragen voor. We hopen dat we andere regio’s ook kunnen uitdagen mee te doen, van elkaar te leren, met elkaar te werken aan de problemen waar we voor staan. Er zijn sprekers uit het onderwijs, bedrijfsleven en de overheid, we lanceren onze site en er is gelegenheid elkaar te ontmoeten.
Graag nodigen we iedereen uit die betrokken is bij het onderwijs, het bedrijfsleven en de overheid die zich betrokken voelt bij dit onderwerp.
En we nodigen ook jou graag uit voor de kick-off van TechTown op 20 oktober om 16h bij STC.
