Es una compañía teatral gestionada por Carlos Castel y Eduardo Gutiérrez, (Ambos actores, directores y productores). Se constituyó en 2003 y como Compañía Residente de Teatro el 1 de diciembre de 2008, iniciando sus actividades en el Centro Cultural "Carril del Conde" del distrito de Hortaleza, de Madrid. Ha llevado a escena montajes de todo tipo de géneros, acogidos con gran aceptación por parte del público, la crítica, las ferias y los circuitos de teatro regionales.
TELÓN CORTO centra sus energías en la producción de nuevos espectáculos entre cuyos proyectos se encuentra actualmente la obra de teatro musical EDGAR, ESCRITOR DE SOMBRAS, pieza que reúne fragmentos de los más de sesenta cuentos que escribió el famoso escritor Edgar Allan POE.
TELÓN CORTO cree en el teatro como una experiencia que se extiende más allá del acto de acudir a una representación teatral. Por ello, hemos diseñado Unidades Didácticas específicas con actividades referentes a la obra -temas transversales, personajes, trama, debates, literatura...- y al teatro -profesiones teatrales, el teatro como edificio, normas de respeto y convivencia, actitudes, ...- para el antes, el durante y el después de cada representación.
