The company was founded by Joseph Birney and Richard Roberts, who between them have over 45 years’ experience in the pipe welding industry. Having worked on projects in Ireland, the United Kingdom and further afield, covering gas, water, sewerage, marine farming, outfalls, foodstuffs, petrochemical and pharmaceutical installations. Our testing centre is located in Shannon, Co. Clare, Ireland and is equipped with all the necessary equipment in-house to acclimatise, machine and test samples to the required standards. As such, Tensile Testing Services provides a fast turn-around of results, far quicker than was ever possible before. Our personnel are certified in various areas covering all aspects of pipe welding, our certs include GD 4, GD 5, GD 8, ELR, City and Guilds of London Institute in water.
From our experience and deep product knowledge, we fully understand the importance of maintaining the standard of butt fusion techniques laid down in the statutory standards of Irish Water, Bord Gais, WIS, DIN and EN.
Tensile Testing Services is also an EUSR approved training provider offering National Water Hygiene and Welding training courses
