The TestConnect project We believe that the diagnosis of COVID-19 should be carried out on a frequent basis, especially in organizations and institutions with residents and / or professionals who share the same space, thus supporting its contingency plan in view of the current situation pandemic. We defend that the elaboration of a careful planning of testing, will allow organizations / institutions to continue functioning within the necessary parameters, with greater confidence. The TESTCONNECT Platform It is a platform that allows the interface and communication between institutions in need of testing the COVID-19 to employees and users, and the laboratories that perform these tests and carry out the planned monitoring, considering the context and needs of each organization. History The TESTCONNECT project was born out of the belief shared by a group of volunteers about the need to carry out frequent tests, in order to guarantee a more effective control of the transmission chains of COVID-19 infection, when and where they arise. Since March 2020, the group, initially composed of health professionals and researchers, began to collect and deepen knowledge with the available information on the behavior of the virus, and forms of prevention based on tests, and other diagnostic methods used in different countries. We collaborate with national and foreign Research Institutes, ensuring the collection of relevant information about the tests that are being used and validated in the laboratory and hospital environment. The concern to respond in the most effective way to the progress of the state of the pandemic, gave rise to the proposal of a model based on segmentation, by priority groups, and by the type of existing tests, according to the knowledge that was being collected about them, and its applicability. Today, the network of laboratories that collaborate with the project extends to the entire national territory.
