TFORMA is a social impact organization focused on addressing educational inequity in Malawi. The is aim to achieve the ambitious goal by catalyzing development of forward thinking and trans-formative leadership that is passionate and committed to promote equity in the distribution of quality education services at all levels. TFORMA advocates and promotes good governance in the delivery of quality education in public schools and socio-economic empowerment of rural communities to enable them sustain their children’s access to quality education. TFORMA Vision: One day, all children in Malawi will have access to excellent education and opportunities to shape a better future for themselves and everyone, irrespective of their social-economic background. TFORMA focuses on building collective leadership to ensure all children are financially independent to live a successful life by 25 years of age. By the age of 25, children in Malawi regardless of social-economic status would be able to secure sustainable means to meet their basic needs of food, shelter, clothing, and security and maintain a good quality of life in terms of physical, mental, and emotional health. They would have acquired excellent education, resilience, self-motivation, and confidence, developed a sense of responsibility for community advancement, developed good moral behaviours, developed a deep connection with their roots, and respected diversities. Teaching and Leadership Fellowship Program: TFORMA core strategy is implementation of a Teaching and Leadership Fellowship Program involving recruitment, training and deployment of fellows as teachers who commit to teach in rural community schools and provide trans-formative leadership for a period of two-years. Upon completion of the fellowship program, fellowship alumni join the growing advocacy movement that works towards the vision of better Malawi through promotion of equitable education.
