After working for 25 years in my family's HVAC/Plumbing business I sold my share in the company to my brothers and retired from the contracting business. I was able to do this and set my family up for continued success because I was so successful in implementing business systems and at training people that by the time I was ready to go, the business was running so efficiently it could literally run without me.
The key to the success of our family business were the comprehensive manuals outlining operations and staffing governing how things should be done. It took me years to put this information together!
