The BlackBirds is a Beatles & Solo Years Tribute Band, considered as the best in their country and one of the top5 worldwide. They are very proud to say they perform live for ten years now! They have so much fun, experience and pleasure to celebrate! As they report: -In the August of 2007 we had the opportunity to give several shows in the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool as the first Hungarian group on the famous Beatle Week Festival. -In 2008 we gave four concerts in Canada -We toured in Liverpool for the second time in August 2008. -In 2009 we were invited to a Belgian and a French Beatles festival -On the 24th of April 2009 the legendary actor, TONY CURTIS visited us at our club event in Budapest -In July 2009 on the Big Rivers Festival we had the opportunity to be the opening act for the famous SPENCER DAVIS GROUP -August 2009 - Third time on the Beatle Week Festival in Liverpool -We had our second tour in the Netherlands in 2010 and the third one in July of the same year. -On the 28th of June 2011 our drummer György Hoffmann was received by RINGO STARR himself, for ten minutes in his dressing room before his concert in Budapest. -In the spring of 2012 we were invited to the French Beatles Festival for the second time. -In October 2013 we made a memorial concert in Gothenburg Sweden, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ first performance ever outside of the UK. We played the same songs on the same place... -Together with Calcutta trio we were the first in Hungary to dedicate an evening to the Indian influenced period of The Beatles. George Harrison’s wife Olivia Harrison sent a very kind letter regarding the event, which we read to the audience. -Besides touring in Serbia, Slovakia, Transylvania, Netherlands, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Belgium and Germany we gave countless concerts all over our own country for our Hungarian fans.
