HISTORY:
Founded in 1985, The Carl Group has been a key resource for Silicon Valley companies needing Technical documentation proficiency, Quality Assurance expertise, and Development skills.
As a former senior Technical Writer and Technical Trainer for Dialogic Systems, Tim Carl worked on a large plant automation project for Hewlett Packard. The Carl Group provided a team of technical documentation professionals for the project.
This initial foray into contracting led to new contracts with Sun Microsystems, Tandem Computers, Cisco Systems, Phillips Semiconductor, SONY Interactive Entertainment, Netgear, Broadcom, Filemaker among numerous innovative hardware and software companies in the Silicon Valley.
Tim believed that providing excellent technical talent was not enough. Clients wanted oversight management, project management, and contractor support during the life of the contract.
This formula allow The Carl Group to thrive in the boom time times and maintain its business in the bust times on Silicon Valley.
Tim managed The Carl Group for 38 hours and now turned over the company to his son, Matthew, who worked for The Carl Group when he was in high school and college. A senior QA engineer and Project manager, Matt has the background and experience to carry on The Carl Group formula of success.
