Welcome to the First Generation Expat (TFGE)!
Moving to a different country is challenging. Moving to Germany is especially challenging due to cultural differences and high process orientation of the country. Add to that the challenge of a new language and it only gets more complex.
The idea of TFGE originated from our real life experiences of arriving, settling and making Germany our home. Irrespective of your life stage - student, young professional, young couple, young parents or parents to teenagers or empty nesters - the journey you go through while you settle in Germany is going to be different.
The purpose of TFGE is to be a knowledge source where you can dip into to orient yourselves of what might be coming and build a community that helps each other in different situations while settling in their lives in Germany.
