The Guitar Master Shop is de ‘brainchild’ van de gelijknamige gitaarschool van Paul en Stefanie de Zeeuw. Leerlingen kwamen vaak bij hen voor advies over de aanschaf van een nieuw instrument. De drive en het enthousiasme waarmee Paul & Stefanie hen hielpen bij de keuze voor het perfecte instrument, is wat uiteindelijk tot de oprichting van deze shop heeft geleid. Want hoe belangrijk is goede begeleiding bij zo’n belangrijke beslissing? Zij doen er dan ook alles aan om samen met jou die droom gitaar te vinden!
Paul geeft inmiddels ruim 20 jaar gitaarles, waarvan sinds 2009 bij zijn eigen gitaarschool ‘The Guitar Master’. Door de jaren heen heeft hij al heel wat muzikanten van advies voorzien. De deuren van de school stonden altijd open voor leerlingen, vrienden, kennissen en muzikanten uit de lokale scene. Stefanie is door de jaren heen altijd druk in de weer geweest achter de schermen: van website & vormgeving tot de inrichting van de school zelf en productfotografie.
Daarnaast zetten zij zich ook geregeld in om (beginnende) muzikanten het podium op te helpen. Bandcoaching, clinics, workshops en muziekdagen… het duo draait hun hand er niet voor om. In 2019 leidde dit zelfs tot de eerste editie van Masterfest, een eigen festival met een spannend en afwisselend programma vol aanstormend en gevestigd talent. Tussendoor schromen ze ook niet om geregeld een concert of festival in binnen- en buitenland mee te pakken. Passie voor muziek? Dat is wat ons betreft een understatement.
Een gitaarwinkel is dan ook een logische stap voor het tweetal. “Als je 20 jaar bent kom je pas net kijken en heb je te weinig bagage om zo’n project op te pakken“, legt Paul uit. “Nu ben ik 45, en met veel vallen en opstaan heb ik onwijs veel geleerd. Deze kennis wil ik nu dan ook graag delen!”
