Co-founders and managing partners, Bradley Matson and Michael Wahlstrom, saw a great need for mobile development services in northern Michigan and decided to create a collaborative mobile software development hub that produces a studio stacked with talent and job creation.
Both have much experience in the mobile realm. Wahlstrom, a self-described mobile hacktivist since 2005, has created and educated in mobile design, development, marketing and emerging technologies. Matson, a self-described serial entrepreneur and web developer, has co-founded several tech ventures and community organizations.
The Kitchen is entering a “hot” market as mobile devices continue to infiltrate our daily lives and mobile strategies have become mandatory for marketers and businesses alike. Mobile use more than doubled in 2013 according to Flurry, a mobile analytics company. The global mobile software market is set to reach nearly $80 billion by 2017 as reported by Business Wire.
The Kitchen Digital is also launching , an after-school program that invites students in grades 9-12 to join the Kitchen staff twice a week and learn how to program, design, create, learn and lead in emerging technology.
