We practice and teach The Walters Method (TWM) (formally Focussed Mindfulness): an evidence-based and innovative way to free the mind and see with increasing clarity how to be; how to deal with difficult emotions and how to find purpose, feel fulfilled and be free to engage fully with life and work. It offers tools that can be used at times of challenge and uncertainty or as a daily practice.
Gain a practitioner diploma as a practitioner in TWM or study it as CPD. It is a body-based psychotherapy focusing on felt sensations that does not require the client to talk about their issues. It is highly effective for healing trauma.
TWM can be effective after a single session. The exercises can be taught to clients in short course (normally 3-to-5-hour long sessions) and gives them the means to heal past trauma. It transforms thoughts, feelings and memories that affect mental health and cause emotional distress.
TWM is now a registered organisation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).We teach people tools to recover focus and sense of purpose when trauma, emotional or relationship challenges are impacting on health, wellbeing, ability to socialise or engage at work.
Lots of therapies and coaching programmes reveal to you what needs to change and why this will be of benefit to you. TWM is unique in giving you the ‘how’ to let go of old patterns. It can be used to help with many issues. The basic toolkit is the same if we are working with trauma, anxiety, depression or to develop healthier relationships.
It frees the mind from trauma, unconscious patterns and ego drivers, and brings increasing clarity and personal integrity.
Used as a regular practice, it supports spiritual growth and increasing insight into who you are, what you are here for, and how to live your purpose.
