We zijn het leer-werkbedrijf TheChallengeZone!
Opgericht door het ICT Lyceum Maastricht/Sittard en ICT Heerlen en onderdeel van het Regionaal Opleiding Centrum Vista College. We vangen het probleem op van het tekort aan stageplaatsen voor ICT-studenten bij geaccrediteerde ICT-stagebedrijven.
Dit doen we op de eerste plaats voor studenten die bij het Vista College de opleiding
‘Software Developer’ of ‘Expert IT - Systems & Devices’ volgen.
Op de tweede plaats doen we dit voor Limburgse bedrijven en instellingen: Limburgse krachten voor morgen ontwikkelen!
Dit doen we door binnen TheChallengeZone de stagiaires te laten groeien in een professionele werkomgeving. Naast de technisch-inhoudelijke aspecten worden zaken als creativiteit, projectvaardigheden, gedrevenheid net als discipline aangesproken. Het is verder een vereiste dat stagiaires vanuit het “Challenge Based Learing principe” bij vragen, weerstand of tegenslag zelf proactief naar oplossingen zoeken en hierbij gebruik dienen te maken van alle tot hun beschikking staande hulpbronnen. Projectmanagement wordt o.a. ingevuld door te werken binnen een ontwikkelteam, Trello en Scrum.
