MIT WISSENSCHAFT WIRKEN
Hochschulen und Forschungsinstitute verfügen über wichtige Expertise, die uns dabei helfen kann, unsere komplexe Welt und die gegenwärtigen Herausforderungen besser zu verstehen. Umfragen zeigen, dass die große Mehrheit der Bevölkerung sich wünscht, dass die Wissenschaften die Öffentlichkeit besser über ihre Erkenntnisse informieren (s. z.B. Cologna et al. 2025, S. 719).
Deshalb gründen wir einen Zweig des internationalen Science Impact-Magazins “The Conversation” (TC) im deutschsprachigen Raum.
Bei TC analysieren Forschende aller Fachrichtungen (tages-)aktuelle Entwicklungen und informieren über neue Forschung. Die Themen reichen von Politik, Gesellschaft und Wirtschaft über Kunst und Literatur bis Gesundheit, Technik, Klima und Umwelt.
GEMEINNÜTZIG, ÜBERPARTEILICH UND KOSTENFREI ZUGÄNGLICH
TC ist dauerhaft gemeinnützig, überparteilich und für alle kostenfrei zugänglich. Es verfügt mittlerweile über Redaktionen in 10 Ländern auf 6 Kontinenten – und wird jeden Monat von mehr als 40 Millionen Menschen genutzt.
NÄCHSTE SCHRITTE
In den kommenden Monaten bauen wir eine Förderallianz von 10-12 Stiftungen, eine Gruppe von 20 University Founding Members und eine Redaktion mit (wissenschafts-)journalistischem Hintergrund auf. Bis zum Sommer 2026 möchten wir live gehen.
