Phase 1 of our experiment ran from July 21. Phase 2 started in September 22 using what we’ve already learned. We will be launching a monthly series of video-based questions using one of the following formats:
1. What’s the BIG question?
We are trying to articulate the ONE question that someone querying a project team about that topic would want to ask, to unlock the most valuable insight. Thus, for example: what’s the one question you should ask about a project’s governance, or the benefits model or the risk it involves? Framing a BIG question is a definite art.
2. How do you deliver?
Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez and many others have highlighted the challenge of translating a future, blue-sky, strategy into a real project. Different strategies and their consequent projects will each hinge on different pre-requisites, in terms of design or delivery. Think, for example, of the UK’s, as yet unrealised, tidal power programme or the Palace of Westminster Restoration and Renewal project.
We will be supplementing these with a series of highly topical questions that reflect what is happening in the world today and its impact on projects.
