I began TheWineGuy.co.za back in 2011 with the aim of starting my own business as I truly loved supplying wine enthusiasts with their favorite wines. Shortly after starting the business I was drawn back into the employment pool after having been re-offered a position with an online wine company I previously managed.
In 2017 I left my day-job and decided to slowly kick-start TheWineGuy.co.za as a hobby business again while I decided which direction to head into next. With 10 years of wine experience behind me and a move to Pretoria where I found plenty of opportunity to spread my wine-wings by helping others enjoy wine as much as I do, I got the website up and running again.
Not two months down the line I was offered an opportunity to assist a wine estate with their sales and marketing in Gauteng. This lead to another four estates hopping on board, as well as a craft brewery.
By day I run around Gauteng giving as much exposure to these lesser-known wine estates. By "night" I assist private wine lovers get hold of their favorite wine gems, as well as source the best quality wines I can find each month for the Wine Club.
In summary I am now offering the following services revolving around wines:
- Monthly Wine Club
- In-trade sales and marketing

- Corporate and private wine tastings
- Door-to-door wine sales via my online store
My aim is to provide the best quality service delivery possible, allowing my customers to enjoy the fulfillment of ordering and receiving their favorite wines with ease.
