Thou Mayest is a non-profit organization focused on loving all people with no strings attached. Our culture code is simple: we are people-loving people. The term “thou mayest” is Latin for the Hebrew word “timshel” which means what makes humans unique is our ability to choose. In every circumstance, we have the ability to choose how we live our lives. At Thou Mayest, we choose to love - in all circumstances and all situations, with no strings attached. We show our love through service as we focus on various central service projects that are prominent issues in our community and dive all in through our three-step approach: learn it, teach it, do it. We want to help address the most significant issues people are suffering from today, including homelessness, racism, COVID-19, human trafficking, depression, and much more. We do so within three levels of society: our community, our country, and our world. What are you passionate about? How do you want to serve? We work with organizations in our hometown Gainesville, Florida, and non-profits around the country to make a difference in the areas that are important to you. This isn’t your typical “volunteer group.” We want change - a change to love and light. We are a faith-based organization, believing and working to spread love like that of Jesus Christ, but we accept and serve all people. Our members come from various backgrounds, and we serve numerous different communities of people. No matter your beliefs, your past, your mistakes, your desires - no matter who you are, our faith doesn’t exclude: our faith unites. Our choice for love is just that - our choice. Everyone deserves our unconditional love and service. We know that we can’t change the world with the flip of a switch. We just want to be a part of the solution.
