Thriving Green baut die Alge Spirulina in der Wüste Kenias an und bekämpft mit diesem Superfood Hunger und Mangelernährung. Hierfür errichten wir gemeinsam mit den Einheimischen Zuchtanlagen und bilden sie im Anbau, Betrieb und Verteilung aus. Durch das generierte Einkommen aus dem selbstständigen Betreiben eigener Zuchtanlagen entsteht zudem ein wirtschaftlicher Aufschwung, der den Menschen eine völlig neue Lebensgrundlage eröffnet, z.B. Zugang zu Bildung und medizinischer Versorgung. Die technische Lösung wurde von TÜV Nord verifiziert, die ökologische Nachhaltigkeit von der WWF bestätigt und u.a. mit dem Social Innovation Award der Bayer Foundation und dem GreenTec Award 2017 ausgezeichnet, dem größten und bedeutendsten Umweltpreis der Welt.
