Vor diesem Hintergrund hat Dr. Helmut Rothenberger 2008 die Stiftung TOOLS FOR LIFE ins Leben gerufen, die sich heute in der Tradition ihres Stifters für das nachhaltige Gemeinwohl unserer Gesellschaft engagiert.
TOOLS FOR LIFE hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, Menschen in allen Regionen der Erde mit den essentiellen Ressourcen zu verbinden, die für ein gesundes Leben notwendig sind. Dies bezieht die materielle Versorgung mit Energie und Wasser als auch die Erschließung immaterieller Ressourcen wie Bildung, Training und Coaching mit ein. So hat TOOLS FOR LIFE in ausgewählten Regionen ein Netzwerk aus Organisationen und lokalen Partnern geschaffen, das in den letzten Jahren mehrere Bildungsstätten und Wasserversorgungsnetze gebaut hat und bis heute betreibt und Instand hält.
