Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre was established by A.M.U. in 2010 empowered by Section 5(2)(C) of the A.M.U. (Amendment) Act,1981, and under Section 12(2) of the University Act. [Act XL 1920 and A.M.U. (Amendment) Act,1972]. AMU is NAAC A+ graded Institution of National Importance ranked among the top 10 Central Universities by QS, Times HE, ARWU among others offering high-quality industry-centric MBA program.
The classes of the first batch were started on 28.02.2011 in a rented building (Al-Hazmi building, Pattambi Road) at Perinthalmanna. The Centre, from its inception, has offered two academic programs viz. B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and M.B.A and then added one more course i.e. B.Ed. The functioning of the Centre has been re-located to the Semi-permanent buildings already constructed in its own spacious (336 Acres) Campus w.e.f. 01.06.2012.
Aligarh Muslim University has been at the forefront of Management Education in India. The department works under the umbrella of the Faculty Management Studies and Research (FMSR), The Department of Business Administration, AMU Centre Malappuram was started on 28.02.2011. In 2011, the department introduced a full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) course with an annual intake of 60 students. A wide range of elective papers/courses are offered under different areas of specialization such as marketing, finance, operations& information, and human resource.
