TransitionELL formed last June during Techstars’ 2017 Startup Weekend NYC (Education Edition). We are a small team of educators, developers, & designers with a passion for solving problems related to English Language Learning. After winning the “Grand Prize” at the Techstars event the team continued to work on the project, even picking up new members along the way. We are devoted to helping English Language Learners (ELL) to improve academically in school while also working to become more proficient in English. As a digital tool-based service, our mission is to create pedagogy-based and innovative solutions that help ELL students make connections between their native language and English, allowing for a healthy and seamless transition to fluency.
