Tsalo Fresh produce was born in a very difficult time in our beloved country, South Africa, the year 2020. When the entire world was facing a devastating corona virus pandemic.
Our country took a very unpopular step, which was to quickly move us to Hard lockdown- Level 5. This was a very difficult few weeks where only essential services personnel were allowed to leave their homes to got to work, where only essential food (Vegetables, staples, bread...) was allowed to be sold, and No takeaways were sold.
This situation forced a lot of people to cook at home, and there was a great need to start exploring with different recipes to feed families of different age groups. There was a need to not only make nutritional food, but food that tastes good and is not boring.
Tsalo Fresh produce answers these frustrations by providing value add recipes that incorporate the herbs and produce that we grow at our Farm. They cover breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and cocktails (for those that are more adventurous)
