TURKINGS, Turkse Architecten en Ingenieurs Vereniging, is ontstaan op 19 mei 2012.
Op deze bijzondere dag hebben we de eerste stappen gezet naar een organisatie, met als doel een platform te worden waarin de architecten en ingenieurs met een Turkse afkomst in Nederland kunnen worden vertegenwoordigd.
Het verenigen van ingenieurs en architecten met een Turks achtergrond in Nederland. Dit wordt gedaan door het creëren van een netwerk waarmee samenwerking, informatie-uitwisseling en kennisdeling mogelijk wordt gemaakt.
Door het bieden van een platform waarin inhoud en gezelligheid hand in hand gaan, is het mogelijk deze technische professionals en toekomstige professionals zoals studenten te boeien, te binden en te ondersteunen. Dit wordt op de volgende manieren uitgevoerd:
Boeien door de inhoudelijke discussies te voeren en vak technisch thema’s te behandelen;
Binden door het creëren van een sfeer waarin het “Turkings-gevoel” een centrale plaats in neemt;
Ondersteunen door te faciliteren waar mogelijk;
Bevorderen van mentorschap, ervaring en kennisdeling.
