Unpointcinq est le tout premier média grand public entièrement dédié à l’action face aux changements climatiques au Québec. Sans but lucratif, sans publicité, non militant et non partisan, Unpointcinq ne participe pas aux débats sur cet enjeu de société.
Notre mission : détendre l’atmosphère en publiant des contenus journalistiques inspirants qui mettent de l’avant les initiatives d’ici pour réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre (GES) ou s’adapter à la nouvelle réalité du climat.
Quand on entend parler des bouleversements climatiques ou de leurs conséquences à court, moyen et long terme, c’est souvent loin d’être jojo! Unpointcinq propose de changer de ton. Depuis son lancement en août 2017, nous répondons ainsi au souhait exprimé par 84 % des 1299 Québécois et Québécoises sondés par Vox Pop Labs cette même année : celui de voir un média couvrir les actions face aux changements climatiques entreprises au Québec.
Voilà pourquoi Unpointcinq produit et publie des contenus journalistiques originaux, rigoureux, positifs et surprenants qui illustrent les interventions de citoyens, de chercheurs, d’organisations, d’entreprises ou de municipalités des quatre coins du Québec. Et ça bouge partout à cet égard, comme le montrent les 400 contenus – articles, vidéos, blogues, balados, etc. – diffusés depuis un an!
Au fait, pourquoi le nom Unpointcinq? Il s’agit d’un clin d’œil à la Conférence sur le climat de Paris, tenue en 2015, au cours de laquelle les pays signataires ont exprimé la volonté de poursuivre leurs efforts pour limiter la hausse mondiale des températures à 1,5 °C.
