Founded in 2015 by a group of students keen to share their passion for trading and the financial markets, the UoB Trading Floor has now evolved into a one-stop financial education solution for students of all disciplines. We are well known for our interactive sessions, covering technical analysis and cryptocurrency. Not only this, we were the top performing trading team in the country. If you want work experience, we can help you. If you want an internship, we can help you. If you want a graduate scheme, we can help you. We cover all topics in the financial sphere, including corporate finance. We support all students, whether you are a curious fresher or an avid trader. We will still do our best to develop your financial knowledge and equip you with the necessary skills. Why not join us and surround yourself with students of a similar calibre?
Our society will provide you with financial education and enhance your career prospects through our workshops, speaker events, bulls market reports, trading game and mock assessment centres. We also ensure members have fun whilst doing so with our Friday socials. We will provide you with the opportunity to network with bankers and alumni that we invite on to campus too. This includes: Deutsche Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Rothschild, etc. Furthermore, we will be able to send a small cohort of you to the London Lloyds Trading Floor later in the year.
We will also hold a trading/ portfolio competition on campus. This is purely for fun, and will teach you about finance in the most effective way. We don’t want to just lecture at you! It’s better to learn by doing. Prizes will be announced.
